Punch Needle Workshop Berlin/English: Craft Your Own Abstract Wall Hanging

Join this one-day, 4-hour course and go home with your own gorgeous handmade abstract wall decoration! Led by textile artist Lillian Morrissey, this beginner-friendly workshop focuses on punch needle basics and simple design using a collage of abstract shapes, making it perfect for those new to the craft.

During this relaxed session held in Lillian’s unique, industrial loft Berlin studio location, you’ll create a unique 30x54 cm wall hanging using pre-dyed fabric and a selection of vibrant yarns. Starting with a quick introduction to design and colour theory basics, you’ll receive easy-to-follow instructions on designing and stitching an abstract composition of simple geometric and organic shapes.

Whether you’re looking to explore punch needle techniques, unwind with a fun DIY project, or meet new people, this workshop offers the perfect introduction to textile art. With all materials provided, including punch needles, fabric, and yarn, you’ll be ready to start stitching right away—no prior experience necessary.

Ideal for those who want a simpler version of the three-day in-depth workshop, this course skips the design, dying and composition theory, focusing instead on creating something beautiful with just a few shapes and colours on a neutral background. This workshop requires a minimum of 2 participants.
