The Lielvarde People Theatre will invite audiences at this year’s festival to the play "Pumpurs – The Road to Lāčplēsis", written by Inese Tālmane.
It is a drama about the poet Andrejs Pumpurs — a man who, being somewhat of a failure in life, longs to create a hero he himself would like to be, yet cannot. The play tells a story of love, of running away from oneself and from the world, of leaving one’s homeland and returning to write a work of great significance to the Latvian nation — "Lāčplēsis".

Lielvārdes Tautas teātris šī gada saieta skatītājus aicinās uz izrādi “Pumpurs – ceļš uz Lāčplēsi”. Lugas autore - Inese Tālmane.
Tā ir drāma par dzejnieku Andreju Pumpuru – cilvēku, kurš, būdams nedaudz dzīves neveiksminieks, vēlas radīt tādu varoni, kāds viņš pats gribētu būt, taču nespēj. Izrāde vēsta par mīlestību, bēgšanu no sevis un pasaules, došanos svešumā un atgriešanos, lai uzrakstītu latviešu tautai tik nozīmīgo darbu - “Lāčplēsis”.
