PumpkinPalooza is back! Join us on Thursday, October 24th starting at 4 p.m. at Alethia Tanner Park for delicious food, live music from Biscuit Bynum (formerly Sound of the City), free face painting and henna tattoos, FREE PUMPKINS from our “pick-your-own” pumpkin patch, live Minion costumed characters, and selfies with baby alpacas!

Costumes encouraged for people and pets, as we’re hosting the ever-popular costume parade with amazing prizes.

PumpkinPalooza will also feature the return of pop-up beer garden hosted by who will be serving specialty fall brews (21+ only; no cash accepted, credit/debit only).

Finish off the evening watching Monsters, Inc. on the big screen at DC’s best outdoor movie venue!

Important things to note:

Pick-your-own pumpkin patch opens at 4:15 p.m and free pumpkins are available on a first come, first served basis. Limit: one free pumpkin per person, while supplies last.

Costume parade starts at 4:30 PM. To participate in the costume contest, you must come to the NoMa BID tent by 4:15 p.m., at which point the judges will assess all costumes. To receive a prize, if chosen, you must be physically present at the event at 6:15 , after winners are announced and to claim your prize.

Parents, please ensure your children are supervised at all times. The Metropolitan Branch Trail runs alongside the park and is frequented by bicycles and scooters.

Dogs are welcome, and encouraged to participate in pet costume contest, but they must be on a leash. There is also a separate dog park at Alethia Tanner Park where your dog can play off leash!

In case of inclement weather, the event will take place on Friday, October 25th from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Certain elements of the event may not occur on the rain date.
