Join Ruled By Raptors as we celebrate the Festive season at Newcastle's Heart of the Rock Scene- Trillians.
Joining them are local supports Hightide In Tokyo, Proven Rivals and Shouting at Strangers.
Ruled By Raptors- Bursting onto the scene with a genre churning post-hardcore style, that proudly embraces its metal influences as much as its punk heritage; Ruled By Raptors emerged fully-formed in the last quarter of 2018 from the economically recovering mining towns of South East Northumberland. Carving out a reputation for high-octane live performances in their home city of Newcastle, whilst balancing progressive elements, high octane riffs and a mix of powerful melodic and fry vocals; the band have cut their teeth in some of the UK’s most well-known venues from The Joiners in Southampton and Rough Trade in Bristol, all the way up to The Key Club in Leeds, King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Bannerman’s Bar in Edinburgh and Café Drummonds in Aberdeen.
Hightide In Tokyo are a five-piece alt-rock band made up of five old guys who've been at it for over a decade. Blending years of experience with a love for playing live, the band continue to shape their sound and keep things loud, honest and fun. With a new EP in the works, Hightide in Tokyo show no signs of slowing down.
Proven Rivals-are a five-piece female-fronted rock outfit, officially forming in 2023.
Their most recent single 'Wildside' dropped in December 2024 and immediately because the anthem of empowerment and reinvention it was always meant to be. Proven Rivals are now hard at work on a brand-new EP. Expect heavier riffs, soaring choruses and the next chapter in their mission to break free from the expected and deliver something fresh.
Musically, Proven Rivals draw on a rich mixture of influences, channelling a sound that's bold, hook-driven and unapologetically rock.
Shouting at Strangers are a four-piece progressive alt-rock band hailing from the North East of England. Shouting at Strangers provide a unique brand of Toe-Tapping Head-Banging goodness that leaves you always wanting more. The band are influenced by a rnage of artist from the likes of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden to AC/DC and Haken. This gig will mark the home-coming of front man Joel Taylor after his travels around Asia.
