Is it possible to find genuine peace in this digital age?
The fast-paced development of modern technology and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) are increasing stress and anxiety for most people, but would we say the quality of human life is improving? Is there an actual increase in human happiness? Does living in the digital age mean we’re destined to feel stressed and restless?
Despite all the amazing development we have witnessed in recent years, for many of us, technology has had the opposite effect, leaving us more agitated, distracted, addicted, and even fearful. As AI becomes more accessible, we could eventually lose our ability to think for ourselves, weakening our capacity to find happiness within through the power of our own thoughts and feelings.
In this talk, Gen Samten will share a Buddhist perspective on how to develop our capacity to find genuine peace and contentment while living in this ever-evolving digital age. Discover how to create an inner space of calm through the power of your own thoughts, and how to live with technology without being ruled by it.
