The Southeast Strong Community Plan is the first community planning project undertaken through the Neighborhood Planning Program. The plan area is generally the southern half of Council District 4 that consists of six neighborhoods nestled between Interstate 25 and Powers Boulevard: Deerfield Hills, Pikes Peak Park North, Pikes Peak Park South, Soaring Eagles, Southborough, and Spring Creek. This plan is anticipated to provide guidance on physical development within the 4A planning area. Recommendations from this plan will touch on development topics such as transportation, economic development, celebrating culture, housing, climate resiliency, public safety and public health.
Community plans from the City of Colorado Springs can guide both community and city government priorities, funding and grants, and the urban built environment. The Southeast Strong Community Plan is currently a draft, and your input on topics related to culture, housing, economic development, entrepreneurship, health, transportation, and safety will help guide the southeast Colorado Springs community, south of Fountain Blvd., for generations to come. Make sure your input is incorporated in the process!
The draft plan is available to review here: https://coloradosprings.gov/SEcommunityplan Registration is requested for the event as well.
Thank you for joining us on this critical effort!
