Speaker: Kristina Modeste, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (specialization in non-monogomy, polyamory & 2LGBTQIA+) 🧠

What does it actually look like to build relationships that are honest about desire? In this Pub Scholar lecture, led by an LMFT, we’ll dive into the worlds of monogamy, polyamory, and ethically nonmonogamous (ENM) structures. We'll be breaking down what they are, how they differ, and the frameworks that shape how people choose to love today. How do we negotiate, set boundaries, and what does it all mean for the relationship(s)?

Rather than treating relationships as fixed systems, this talk opens up the space underneath them. We'll dive into the unspoken agreements, the moments of misalignment, and the ways we learn to stay connected while still wanting. We’ll sit with how desire moves through relationship structures. Expect reflection, a little discomfort, and a lot of real talk about how we build intimacy in modern relationships.
