Dissociative Identity Disorder demystified: unveiling the commonality and recognising the symptoms

Did you know that DID is more common than Schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder?# Come along to learn about how to recognise the symptoms in your practice and build your confidence in working directly with these clients.

#Using statistics from the DSM-V

Currently, clinicians are still taught that DID is a rare condition that one would likely only see once in their career. As part of professional practice, it is essential that the information we work with is evidence based, where the statistics for the prevalence of DID being starkly different to what we are led to believe. As such, this presentation is a must if you work clinically.

This presentation aims to provide a re-education on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) within a System-affirming framework. Recognizing the symptoms to watch for in your clinical practice can enhance evidence-based approaches, allowing you to leverage your existing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills effectively when working with clients who experience multiplicity.
