⚾️ PUA UMPIRE CAMP 2026 ⚾️Friday, July 31st – Sunday, August 2nd, 2026📍 Heritage Park — Wheeling, Illinois
⚠️ LIMITED TO 40 CAMPERS TO MAXIMIZE INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT
PUA Camp is a 3-day umpire development experience built for ALL levels; from complete beginners looking to learn how to umpire and begin working games, to experienced umpires focused on advancing to higher levels of baseball.
This is not just a camp, it is a hands-on development experience designed to teach the mechanics, confidence, communication, professionalism, and game management skills needed to succeed on the field.
Throughout the weekend, campers will participate in:

✅ 2-man system rotations & responsibilities
✅ Positioning & timing drills
✅ Rules discussions & classroom sessions
✅ Game management & communication development
✅ Individual evaluations & instructor feedback
✅ World-class instruction from collegiate & professional umpires
🏆 THE OPPORTUNITY IS REAL:
• 2024: Two PUA Camp attendees earned scholarships to the Umpire Placement Course (UPC), and BOTH later received Northwoods League jobs for the 2025 season. One is currently working a Minor League Baseball season.
• 2025: Even with UPC temporarily paused, PUA Camp still helped send one camper to the Northwoods League, while another camper is currently working a MiLB season.
One standout camper from PUA Camp 2026 will earn a scholarship opportunity to the Umpire Placement Course (UPC), or a similar camp of their choice.
In addition to on-field instruction, college conference coordinators, league assignors, and baseball industry connections will also be present throughout camp, providing campers with valuable networking opportunities, exposure, and insight into advancement within officiating.
Campers will also have intentional opportunities throughout the weekend to build relationships, ask questions, and connect with instructors, assignors, and fellow umpires.

👥 Camp is LIMITED to 40 total participants to ensure quality instruction and individualized attention.
🏨 LODGING INFORMATION:
Campers traveling from outside the area are responsible for their own lodging accommodations. Several hotels are conveniently located within 10–15 minutes of Heritage Park in Wheeling, IL.
PUA is currently working with local hotel partners to provide discounted group lodging rates for campers and families when available. Additional lodging recommendations, travel information, and local details will be provided to registered participants closer to the event date.
