On June 23, 2026, the PTAC Energy Table returns for a discussion with the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) to explore the evolving energy regulatory landscape and future industry developments. Hosted by PTAC Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada, from 7:45 AM to 9:30 AM at the Calgary Petroleum Club, industry leaders will gather to examine the AER’s regulatory priorities, strategic considerations for industry planning, and how collaboration can drive effective implementation and improve system-level outcomes.
This fireside chat will explore themes such as the transition from policy intent to practical execution, the role of innovation and technology in a risk-based regulatory framework, management of mature assets and closure, and the growing importance of data, transparency, and regulatory reporting. The session is designed for open dialogue and will highlight common challenges, alignment opportunities, and practical approaches to collaborative progress.
