PsychSocial returns to Jazz in the Garden. Off-the-clock connection, live music, and summer energy in DC for mental health professionals.
About this Event

It's PsychSocial Time
We’re heading back to one of DC’s most beloved summer traditions — Jazz in the Garden!

This will be our third year gathering here, and it’s become one of those moments where community, music, and summer energy all come together in the best way.

Join us on Friday, May 22nd as we settle into the garden, listen to Oh He Dead, and enjoy an evening that feels easy, full, and shared.

This isn’t a networking event.
This is off-the-clock community — showing up, laying out a blanket, sharing snacks, laughing, and being together in real time.

Important: Passes + Entry

Jazz in the Garden uses a lottery system for entry passes.

🎟 Lottery opens: Monday, May 11
Lottery closes: Friday, May 15 at 12 PM

👉 Enter the lottery here: https://www.nga.gov/press/jazz2026

From past experience, we’ve seen:

  • Community members share extra tickets
  • Additional passes released at the gate (first come, first served)

If you want to attend, there are usually ways to make it happen — even if you’re not selected in the lottery.

Arrival Details

🚪 Gates open at 5 PM
⏰ It’s best to arrive early (before gates open) — lines can get long, especially for opening night

Once inside, we’ll find a spot and settle in together.

📍 Exact meetup details will be shared closer to the event.

✨️

Heyy there! I’m akia grace and I host PsychSocial, a social gathering for psychologists, therapists, social workers, counselors, and other mental health folx who value PLAY and OFF-THE-CLOCK CONNECTION.

With everything we carry in this work, we deserve spaces that let us do just that. Chill. Vibe. Connect. Too many of us are climbing our way back from burnout and compassion fatigue. We’re constantly holding space for others and PsychSocial is about holding space for ourselves, too.

This isn’t a networking event. 📣Don’t bring work here! Just pull up ready to meet new people, catch some rooftop vibes, sip something good, eat well, and be part of a community that fills you up.

Can't wait to see you there✨️
