Explore : George Washington Carver was a pioneer of plant-based engineering and one of the nation’s earliest proponents of sustainable agriculture. Carver’s then-radical ideas—including organic fertilizers, crop rotation, and plant-based medicines and construction materials—are now recognized as the forerunners of modern conservation. This exhibit explores how contemporary artists and thinkers working today engage with Carver’s ideas and interests.
Cards of Care workshop with CAAM teaching artist: Explore themes of care, connectivity, and transformation – as they relate to We Are the Harvest, to the World Without End exhibition more broadly, and to the notion of ‘community’ in the context of LA’s recent and devastating wildfire – through multiple forms of creative expression.
