About this Event

Kintsugi Crafting Session
A creative choice for a date night or the advent of a novel crafting experience. For anyone looking to promote self acceptance or resilience while building new artistic skills.
Rooted in Japanese philosophy, Kintsugi emphasizes embracing imperfection and celebrates beauty in brokenness by repairing cracked pottery with adhesives brushed with metallic powders.
We invite you to engage in this small group activity, facilitated by a secular humanist celebrant. The mending of shattered pieces may symbolize a part of your own journey toward healing or simply be an exploration of this traditional art.
Designed with beginners in mind, each session provides a safe space for artistic expression and self reflection, encouraging participants to learn new techniques while crafting something personally meaningful and visually stunning.
Special limited-time introductory price: $99 per person, with the option to bring your own broken or intact ceramic item or choose from our in-house collection.
Light snacks and drinks provided (although for the most part our hands will be occupied). This session times well for lunch or an early dinner at nearby Abbott Kinney or Marina del Rey.
Adults and mature children age 12+ welcome.
Each intimate session is limited to 8 or fewer participants.
Gift certificates available.
Future sessions will be available, but not at this special introductory price.
Please contact with questions! We’re eager for your expectations and feedback and excited to explore this creative experience together!

Kintsugi Crafting Session
Host: Amy Boyle, Secular Humanist Celebrant
Info: A unique and therapeutic experience for anyone looking to soothe anxiety or promote self acceptance or bonding through the creative process. Rooted in Japanese philosophy, Kintsugi emphasizes embracing imperfection and celebrates the beauty in brokenness by repairing cracked pottery with adhesives brushed with metallic powders.
We invite you to engage in a meditative practice of mending shattered pieces, symbolizing your own journey toward healing, or simply creation.
Designed with beginners in mind, each session provides a safe space for artistic expression and self reflection, encouraging participants to learn new techniques while crafting something personally meaningful and visually stunning.
It is our goal that by the end of the session, you will have gained a new skill, a sense of peace and a tangible reminder of resilience in a lovingly mended work of art that, like each of us, is more than a sum of its parts.
