About this Event
With poet Cierra Martin!
In this workshop, attendees will learn what viral "Instagram Poetry" is, how it emerged as a genre, and how it revitalized youth interest and accessibility to poetry. Citing specifically Rupi Kaur, Aliza Grace, and Gabbie Hanna.
We will then unpack what they are "trying" to say in their poetry and as an exercise rework the poem relying on the theme of the piece, going line by line.
