About this Event
With poet Robin Gow!
When I finish writing a poem, I generally re-read it and think to myself, "This could be weirder." In this workshop, we'll practice moving a real-life moment into the surreal while also exploring what this shift means and what it can generate. As part of this discussion, we'll consider what "weird" even means—especially because "weird" is always in relation to what is "normal," which is often determined by dominant cultures. We'll take time to read poems with an eye towards their tilt into strangeness, free write, and share ideas and writing.
