Protesting for Palestine in the Imperial Core: A TalkHow are people protesting in the US against Israel’s genocide in Gaza? The US is the #1 supporter of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians, but most people in the US oppose it.
To discuss this topic, Eli Gerzon will talk about organizing in the US and the current situation in Gaza including Trump’s failed “peace plan.” Gerzon is an American Jew and has been organizing in support of Palestine for 11 years.
They will speak from personal experience doing coalition work with Palestinian Americans and others, leading campaigns, protesting powerful US politicians, and getting arrested twice while supporting Palestine. They are part of Jewish Voice for Peace and Democratic Socialists of America - and write and edit videos for The Electronic Intifada - but will be speaking as an individual.
New Bloom editor Brian Hioe will moderate the conversation, which will be followed by a Q-and-A from the audience.
