The Albanese Government is attacking disabled people’s rights.Today at the National Press Club confirmed what many in our community feared.
This is not “reform.”
It is a deliberate shift to cut costs by reducing access, reducing supports, and tightening control.
– caps on NDIS growth
– cuts to participant budgets
– cuts to the disability workforce
– stripping social and community participation
– shrinking the scheme
– reducing choice and control
– increased controls over how supports are used
– undermining review mechanisms like the ART and Federal Court
These changes will exclude people, reduce independence, and push more pressure onto families.
They undermine the core principles of the NDIS and Australia’s obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
So we are taking action.
Join us outside the ALP National Conference, where these decisions are being shaped, to make it clear that:
Disabled people will not be cut out, pushed out, or silenced.
Organised by Australian Neurodivergent Parents Association with disabled people, families, and allies.
Time to take action. 🪧
