About this Event
This training equips parents, caregivers, and guardians with essential information and practical strategies to support children’s safety as they transition back to school. The start of a new school year often brings new environments, routines, peers, authority figures, and increased use of digital platforms for learning and social connection—each introducing important safety considerations for families.
Participants will explore proactive back-to-school safety strategies, including how to assess school and extracurricular environments, reinforce healthy boundaries, and support children as they build relationships with new peers and trusted adults. The session also addresses digital safety, online communication, bullying prevention, and peer-related risks commonly associated with the school year.
Caregivers will leave with practical tools, clear conversation starters, and increased confidence to create safe, predictable, and supportive environments for children—at school, in after-school activities, online, and at home.
