About this Event
Join Us for Protected, In Peace!
Protected, In Peace is an evening designed to bring community together at the intersection of education, civic understanding, and responsible engagement. Featuring a keynote conversation with Carla Pratt, Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher Chair in Civil Rights and Justice and professor at OU Law, the event explores the historical landscape of firearm legislation in the United States and how those laws have shaped contemporary interpretations of rights, safety, and civic participation. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and connection in a welcoming atmosphere before transitioning into a guided, hands-on experience that reinforces the evening’s learning.
Included in the $65 registration is a structured, safety-focused range session—complete with instructor support, equipment, and materials—designed to demonstrate how informed, responsible engagement can deepen one’s understanding of law, rights, and civic protection.
Hosted by OU BFSA. For more information, contact Dr. Ajia Meux at [email protected]
