More than 55 years ago, the Northern Center helped advocate for protections for these lands. Today, we find ourselves in a new chapter of that same fight. As decisions about the future of the Dalton Highway Corridor unfold, NAEC is working to educate the public and ensure community voices remain part of the conversation.Join the Northern Alaska Environmental Center as we kick off our summer internβs work on the Public Land Orders along the Dalton Highway corridor with an evening of music, community, and conversation.
Our summer intern will support outreach, research, and community engagement around the future of these lands and the changes affecting the Public Land Order areas along the Dalton Highway corridor. The evening will feature:
Live local bands!
Door prizes!
Wood-fired pizza from the NAEC pizza oven! (by donation)
Community conversation about the future of the Dalton Highway Corridor lands!
If you are part of a local band interested in playing at the event, please email [email protected]
Bring friends, enjoy some music, and help support grassroots conservation work in Interior Alaska.
