Built in 1847 on the grounds of a former 11th century Norman castle, Prospect House (formerly Ash Mount) possesses a dark, layered history defined by tragedy and service. Originally owned by the influential Makin family, the home’s early years were marred by the deaths of Joseph Makin’s children, whose spirits are still heard whispering in the halls. The late 19th century brought the disgraced Arthur Meggitt, whose business failures and suspicious death left behind a "grumpy" presence. In 1905, the house became the practice of Dr. John Huey, a heroic physician who treated the poor and fought against child labour. His urgent, authoritative figure is frequently seen by guests, often accompanied by spirit recordings pleading for "Jack" (his nickname). The cycle of sorrow continued in 1951 when Geraldyne Lindsay died suddenly in the house; her apparition now silently watches visitors from the stairs. Renamed in 1990, Prospect House remains a site where the echoes of Victorian tragedy and medical duty seemingly never faded. So how many spirits haunt this sinister house, and will you cross paths with them?

Join us as we investigate this unique haunted location using a variety of different paranormal equipment, such as EMF Meters, REM Pods, Spirit Boxes and Detectors, plus our own senses as we attempt to find out what spirits still roam this site. We will be using methods like Victorian Table Tipping, Ouija Boards and the Estes Method, as well as utilising other equipment and techniques throughout the night in an attempt to communicate with the spirits of Prospect House.
