Welcome to Prose and Poses: a yin yoga and spoken word poetry experience! Join us at The Jim Green House Studio Vancouver for a unique blend of relaxation and creativity. Let your body unwind and your mind wander as you flow through gentle poses guided by Steph Gelatzine while you listen to powerful words by Lindi Nolte as an invitation to reflect and soften into your practice. This event is the perfect opportunity to nourish your soul and connect with like-minded individuals.
Bring a yoga mat and a journal. Wear comfortable and warm clothing.
Our 1.5hr yoga and poetry session will be followed with an optional half hour of social sharing and refreshments.

About your facilitators:
Steph Galatzine:
Steph began her yoga teacher training in Victoria, BC, in 2020 and has been fortunate to share her passion for vinyasa, hatha, yin, and restorative yoga over the past four years. As a recent graduate in physiotherapy, she possesses a profound understanding of how the nervous system influences our overall health. She is fascinated by pain neuroscience, and is passionate about weaving yoga and relaxation practices into her treatment offerings for people who experience chronic pain. Steph believes that yoga is a vital practice for cultivating balance and harmony in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Lindi Nolte:
Lindi Nolte is a vibrant South African-Canadian spoken word poet, storyteller, and educator based in Vancouver. She began her poetry journey in 2015 at Café Deux Soleil’s Poetry Slam, quickly earning recognition as one of the city's favorite poets. In 2018, she became the Grand Slam Champion, showcasing her talent and passion for the art form.
Lindi's work is deeply rooted in exploring the connections we form with ourselves and others amid life's challenges and joys. She regularly facilitates creative writing and spoken word workshops, inspiring others to find their voices. Her debut poetry collection, "Barefoot and Awestruck," delves into the complexities of relationships, the healing power of nature, love, and self-discovery, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of poetry.
