I am writing on behalf of Sanford Clean Air and Water Coalition Aries, a company out of Tennessee with a very sketchy financial history that has already had a biosolids plant in Linden NJ shut down due to defaulting on a $98 million loan has proposed building a plant that burns PFAS sludge near the Mousam River inc South Sanford. They have attempted to build another plant in a nearby town there, also in Taunton Mass. Both rejected. The plant they are proposing in Sanford will burn sludge from Maine, NH and Mass. The proposal went before our city council last week and in spite of considerable resistance from the townspeople they voted unanimously to advance the proposal to the planning board. Aries is putting on an event promoting the plant at the Sanford Performing arts center with all types of restrictions. No statements will be allowed, only questions and only by residents and only one question at that. Since the whole event is heavily weighted in their favor, our coalition has chosen to have a protest outside the center at 5:00 with the actual event starting at 6:00. IT WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING IF GRAHAM COULD ATTEND. However, we understand how busy he must be. At the very least could you post this on your site as this also concerns all York County residents and all Mainers who care about our environment. Thanks for your cooperation and I look forward to dealing with you. Nick Serritella
