Inspired by the Broadway musical SUFFS (broadcasting live Friday, May 8 on WFYI), this community program invites you to engage with the story of women’s suffrage before joining the conversation.Join us Tuesday, June 9, at The Indianapolis Propylaeum for an interactive, community-centered experience focused on dialogue, reflection, and connection. This is not a lecture—it is a conversation. Participants are invited to share perspectives, listen to others, and explore the history of women’s suffrage and its continued relevance today.
Roundtable discussion topics include:
The historical path to suffrage
How social change happens through activism and strategy
Reflections on SUFFS the musical
Power, voice, and representation
Barriers, backlash, and the future of progress
Designed for ages 12 and up, this program encourages cross-generational participation and learning. Thanks to the partnership of WFYI and Indiana Humanities, this event is free and open to the public.
