Prom ReRun is an event program offering donation and free pickup opportunities for gently used formal apparel, such as dresses, suits, and shoes.Johnson County high school students and community members can donate quality gently used items or pick up items at no cost.
As part of Prom ReRun, there will be six separate locations where residents can drop off items during the first two weeks of March. Visit www.icgov.org/reduce for a list of donation drop-off locations and times. A pickup event where the collected items are available for free will be held on March 14, 2026.
Pickup Event:
Pick up items at no cost at the event on Saturday, March 14:
-- Where: Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center Social Hall, 220 South Gilbert St., Iowa City
-- When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Note:
-- Bring a bag or box to carry and transport items you would like to take with you!
-- No private dressing rooms will be available. Guests are welcome to try items on over their clothes.
-- Items are available first come, first serve, while supplies last. Each guest is limited to picking up one full outfit.
