[EN below]📽️🍿 Quinoa te convie, avec le Début des Haricots et le CNCD 11.11.11, à la projection du documentaire « 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 » de la réalisatrice palestinienne 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 (2022 - 65min.).
🌱 À travers la pratique de la cueillette de plantes sauvages et de leurs usages traditionnels, le film révèle à la fois l'âme de la culture palestinienne mais surtout l'importance de ce lien avec un territoire et sa flore. Un territoire confisqué au nom de l'écologie pour mieux servir les grandes cultures et l'agrobusiness israélien, autrement dit, au nom du 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁.
Pour aborder ces thématiques, nous aurons le plaisir d'échanger en fin de film avec :
- 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 : artiste, curatrice et chercheuse palestinienne, qui s'intéresse aux imaginaires et aux pratiques anticoloniales et antidisciplinaires centrées sur la terre.
- 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁 : chercheuse palestinienne, qui s’intéresse aux pratiques culturelles telles que l’agroécologie comme outil de résistance
🎞️ En suivant les plantes de la nature jusqu’à la cuisine, les parties de cache-cache entre cueilleur·euse·s et patrouilleurs jusqu’aux salles d’audience, « Foragers » capture la joie et la connaissance incarnées dans ces traditions, ainsi que la résilience et résistance face aux lois prohibitives et coloniales. ✊

📽️🍿 Quinoa, Le Début des Haricots and the CNCD 11.11.11, invite you to the screening of the documentary film « 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 », by Palestinian film-maker 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 (2022 - 65min).
🌱 Through the practice of picking of wild plants - "foraging" - and their traditional uses, the film reveals both the soul of Palestinian culture, and how primordial the link with the land and its flora is. A land routinely seized in the name of "ecology", only to better serve the colonial needs of industrial agriculture and Israeli agrobusiness - in other words, in the name of 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺.
To discuss these issues and more, at the end of the screening we will have the pleasure of chatting with:
- 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁 : independent Palestinian researcher specialised in cultural sociology, such as agroecology as a means of resistance under settler-colonialism;
- 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 : artist, curator and Palestinian researcher, working with anticolonial and antidisciplinary practices focuses on land.
🎞️ Following plants from the wild to the kitchen, and the chase between foragers and patrollers to courtrooms, ‘Foragers’ captures the joy and knowledge embodied in these traditions, as well as the resilience and resistance in the face of prohibitive colonial laws. ✊
