About this Event
Join AIA Rhode Island for an architecture tour of the Track 15 Food Hall, nestled inside the historic 1898 Central Terminal Building at the heart of Providence’s Union Station. Led by Vision 3 Architects, this presentation and Q&A will explore how the food hall serves as a vibrant centerpiece, seamlessly linking the bustling Financial District with the scenic Waterplace Park and the Riverwalk system. As you walk through this beautifully renovated space, you'll learn about the building's rich history, from its origins as a transportation hub to its transformation into a modern culinary destination. Learn about the design and construction process and the architectural details that celebrate its industrial past while highlighting contemporary design elements that connect the surrounding urban landscape.
Whether you’re an architecture enthusiast or simply curious about the development of downtown Providence, this experience offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the fusion of old and new in one of the city’s most dynamic spaces. We encourage you to stay and grab dinner with friends after the presentation!
