What is covered in this workshop?
This workshop is a great way to progress your skills with your overlocker. You will be learning how to sew a t shirt or jumper with your overlocker on this workshop. Morgan your tutor will go through each step of the process, meaning you will go home with more confidence in making garments with your overlocker. You will need to supply the t shirt of jumper fabric, guidance will be given on specific amounts needed on booking. Overlockers can be really useful machines and the idea of this workshop is to develop your confidence and skills so that you an increase the projects you do on the machine when you get home.
What do you need to bring?
Your overlocker and some thread please. We will contact you on booking to discuss the fabric.
Who is your tutor?
Our very own Morgan will be teaching this workshop. She has an extensive background in dressmaking both in TV and theatre.
Who is this workshop for?
If you have completed our beginners workshop, or have the confidence to set your machine up and do some basic stitches, this is a great way to take the next step.
Other things you need to know
All workshops are run at LilyBoo, Lostwithiel on the upstairs floor. There is a steep flight of stairs up to the workshop area but once there you will have everything you need, from a small kitchen for tea and coffee along with a bathroom. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
