In addition to the programs listed below, the Paynetown Activity Center is open Thursday-Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m., featuring a different drop-in craft each day along with live snakes, kids play area, puzzle table, and coloring table. Watch for a naturalist roving the CAMPGROUND to learn about an air quality detector that is right in your backyard – lichen! Explore the biology of this (honestly, pretty weird) organism and discover how their role in the ecosystem.

Wildflower Stroll at 9:30 a.m.
Meeting Location: Overflow Parking Area (back end, by fossil dig)
ARRIVE ON TIME! Join a naturalist for an easy evening stroll to identify early summer-blooming wildflowers, learn about other species to watch out for as the summer continues, and get tips on propagating some of these plants in your home garden. This program is recommended for adults and older teens. 45 to 60 minutes

Travel back millions of years to when Indiana lay underneath a shallow sea… learn about the animals that once lived in that ancient ocean and how some of their remains survive to present-day in the form of fossils. Examine some of these fossils and make a paper craft about their formation!
