Pas De Deux

by Lane Gifford

Event Photos

“Pas De Deux” is a work in three parts that explores the idea of the duet as a springboard to a wider visual interpretation of relationships, their meanings, variations, and the dynamic energy that grows, splinters, and entwines when people connect and communicate. The ebb and flow of movement conversations is at the core of “Pas De Deux.”

Choreographer: Lane Gifford in Collaboration with the Dancers
Dancers: Jonathan Colafrancesco, Mizuho Kappa, Annie Morgan, Robert Rubama, & Annie White.
Music: Trevor Gureckis with additional works by Jim Jarmusch, Bert Kaempfert and Milt Gabler (sung by Nat “King” Cole), Franz Kirmann, and Jacques Brel (sung by Regina Spektor)

To Whom It May Concern

by Sarah Housepian and Amy Saunder

Event Photos

"To Whom It May Concern" explores the imagined meeting between two versions of the self that exist at different points in time but are bound by memory, emotion, and experience. Their paths nearly align, like missed trains or echoes. If you could write a letter to your younger or older self what would it say?

Dear Daddy Issues is a vulnerable piece tracing a woman’s emotional journey through an estranged relationship with her father, filled with abuse, and inherited trauma.
