About this Event
Join us for the day 2 of our Growing Sales Beyond the UK series.
Day 2 focuses on the practical mechanics of international trade, bringing together product classification, duty, shipping, and documentation into a single end-to-end view. It explains how products are classified using commodity codes and how customs duty is assessed depending on factors like country of origin and existing trade agreements.
The day then covers the commercial and operational aspects of shipping goods internationally, including responsibilities of the buyer and seller and the documentation required for export and import. Although the programme is focused on exporting, Day 2 also introduces the process of importing as a means of understanding both sides of the trading process.
