About this Event

Following its sold-out global debut at SXSW's All Things Food and Ag Short Film Festival, Irish Farmers is coming to Dublin on Monday, 22 June for its Ireland Private Screening!

Irish Farmers: A Love Story is a 2026 documentary short film produced by Food Tank and directed by Haven Worley. The film highlights three female Irish farmers across three generations: Ailbhe Gerrard (Co. Tipperary), Carina Roseingrave (Co. Clare), and Sophie Bell (Co. Cavan), and showcases their dedication to stewardship of the Irish landscape.

After the screening, our three farmers will be joined on stage for a conversation alongside the film’s director, Haven Worley, moderated by Philip Boucher-Hayes, Journalist, RTÉ.

Afterwards, Danielle Nierenberg, President of Food Tank, will be in conversation on stage with Stephen Flynn of The Happy Pear.

We will have a very special live musical performance by Reylta and her band, featuring her original song “Rain,” featured in the film.

This Ireland private scrrening offers attendees an immersive experience at Light House Cinema through film, taste, and stories directly from the farmers featured in the film.

Following the film and conversations, guests are invited to join us for a delicious reception and drinks inspired by the film.

Film synopsis:

Irish Farmers: A Love Story offers an intimate and profound portrait into the lives of farmers Ailbhe Gerrard (Brookfield Farm, Co. Tipperary), Carina Roseingrave (Burren View Farm, Co. Clare) and Sophie Bell (Co. Cavan). Across Ireland, their stories become an interconnected narrative as each farmer nourishes their communities and reshapes a landscape for future generations. At the forefront, the three women steward curiosity of the everyday, finding beauty in farming as resistance to an increasingly mechanized, urban, and fast-paced world.

Space is limited and advance registration is required.
