Make your own lino-cuts and print some super-cool images!12 hours over two days:
15 March - 10am to 4pm (Saturday)
16 March - 10am to 4pm (Sunday)
Try this lino printmaking workshop to refresh your skills or make your first experiments!
Whether you're completely new to lino printmaking or if you've dabbled in it before and want a refresher, this class enables you to get creative and make something lovely.
During your class, you'll...
- learn traditional lino cutting techniques,
- create your own printing block,
- make lovely prints,
- share the fun with a smal group of 8 people,
and a week in advice, we will email you a full pre-Sheet to enable you to
- read through all the stages in the process;
- look for inspiring examples that you might use for ideas;
- detail all the equipment/materials we provide and,
- give you ideas for how to make the most of the course.
You'll be guided by David Watt, an very experienced teacher and artist, and you'll create a set of lino prints to take away with you.
You'll receive everything you need (lino, tracing paper, printing paper, cutting tools, straight-edge, cutting mats etc etc etc) and if you'd like to bring some ideas for your design, please feel free.
And your teacher will have lots of examples at the studio to inspire you too.
We provide everything except Aprons and Lunch,
please bring your least-precious Apron and your own snack-lunch,
we also provide teas or barista coffees with a slice of homebake for a donation of £1.
By the end of your class, you'll head off with a host of new lino printing skills, as well as your prints to display and share with family and friends,
