Print & Pride Workshop: Queer ArtistsJoin Auburn Langley for a Print & Pride workshop celebrating the queer artists who came before us. Using “Queer” as a reclaimed umbrella embracing the full spectrum of LGBTQIA+ identities, this session invites reflection on the people who challenged boundaries and helped shape the present.
Together, we’ll explore historic queer artists, the ways they pushed against societal limits, and how they honoured their identities through their work. Inspired by their stories, you’ll create your own expressive artwork using print and mixed-media.
No pressure to make anything “perfect” — this is a space for messy, heartfelt creativity at any level. Each participant will create a scrapbooking page celebrating a queer artist, and all pages will be brought together into a collective creative book celebrating queer history, pride, and community.
📅 When: Friday, May 8th | 6–8 pm
📍 Where: Port Independent
🎟️ Cost: Free — book your place (plus a free hot drink!)
Come along, get creative, and celebrate the icons who made space for us today.
