About this Event
Register today for Print and Piety: The “Eminent Usefulness” of Andrew Fuller’s Legacy
Hosted by the Jonathan Edwards Center at Gateway Seminary
The phrase “eminent usefulness” comes from Fuller’s ordination sermon for R. Fawkner, where he stated, “eminent spirituality in a minister is usually attended with eminent usefulness.” In Fuller’s time, Christians valued ministers not only for their theological knowledge but also for their ability to help others grow spiritually, a trait that was highly sought after.
Register for the Andrew Fuller Conference, taking place May 28-30, 2026 (Thursday to Saturday), at Gateway Seminary in Ontario, California. Join fellow scholars and students for a unique opportunity to explore the life, thought, and legacy of English Baptist pastor and theologian, Andrew Fuller.
Plenary sessions will be led by David Bebbington, Michael Haykin, Peter Morden, Nathan Finn and Chris Chun. Parallel papers will be presented by scholars and students on campus! Additionally, the conference proceedings will be published in a volume through De Gruyter Brill.
