About this Event
The Library is open, because… indeed: reading is fundamental! And so is education. That’s why we are introducing you to Pride University. An initiative by Vu Pride, HvA Pride, UvA Pride, Student Pride, A.S.V. Gay, All-in foundation, Pride and Sports and The Student Hotel. Aimed to educate you and each other about everything the LGBTQI+ spectrum has to offer. On weekdays during Pride Week (2nd till 6th of August, a new lecture is hosted between 5 and 6 p.m. with afterwards an opportunity to meet, discuss and talk – all within the latest covid-19 measures, of course. For the second lecture, on the 3th of August André Krouwel is our speaker for Pride University. He is one of the researchers for a large-scale international research on causes and solution for economic vulnerability of LGBTQIA+ persons. The first results of his research are just in! André Krouwel will talk about the impact of gender and identity on careers, income and broader economic questions. Do sign up if you want the sneak peek on the results of this important research!
