About this Event
The Library is open, because… indeed: reading is fundamental! And so is education. That’s why we are introducing you to Pride University. An initiative by Vu Pride, HvA Pride, UvA Pride, Student Pride, A.S.V. Gay, All-in foundation, Pride and Sports and The Student Hotel. Aimed to educate you and each other about everything the LGBTQI+ spectrum has to offer. On weekdays during Pride Week (2nd till 6th of August, a new lecture is hosted between 5 and 6 p.m. with afterwards an opportunity to meet, discuss and talk – all within the latest covid-19 measures, of course. For the First lecture, Chantal van der Putten and Luna Pols will give us a toolbox about sexual and gender diversity in higher education. This lecture will be in Dutch:
Hoe kan het hoger onderwijs een inclusiever curriculum aanbieden, zodat alle studenten zich erin herkennen? Luna Pols heeft het afgelopen jaar afstudeeronderzoek gedaan naar een inclusief curriculum op het gebied van seksuele en genderdiversiteit. Hier is een toolbox uit voortgekomen die direct toepasbaar is binnen het onderwijs. In deze interactieve bijeenkomst wordt de toolbox gepresenteerd en is er ruimte om ook zelf een bijdrage te leveren.
