About this Event
Join us for a special closing celebration of Pride is a Trans Led Protest! an exhibition centring trans voices, histories and futures through art, activism and community.
Over its run, the exhibition has brought together work from trans rights activists, community groups, grassroots organisers, and trans and queer artists based in Liverpool and beyond. Through visual art, photography, protest ephemera and community-led history projects, it documents a significant moment in time, reflecting on the ongoing challenges facing trans communities, while celebrating trans* people at the heart of Pride.
This closing event offers a final opportunity to experience the exhibition, while coming together in a shared space of creativity, reflection and celebration.
What to expect:
• A placard-making station led by local queer and trans organisers
• DJ sets from Blvck Velvet and Elaments
• Celebration speeches
• A bar serving drinks throughout the evening
• A last chance to view the exhibition in full
Whether you’ve visited before or are joining us for the first time, we invite you to be part of this closing moment, to connect, reflect, and celebrate together.
Please be aware that as part of the Celebration Event, we will be hosting a number of creative workshops to get involved in. Please be aware that workshop tickets do not qualify as a ticket to the Closing Event, and vice versa. If you would like to attend the Celebration Event, please book a ticket here. If you would like to attend a workshop, be sure to book a ticket for that, too.
Access:
The ground floor of the venue is fully wheelchair accessible and includes toilet facilities. Please note that part of the exhibition will take place on the first floor, which is not currently accessible via lift.
