Pride in Construction 2026 - Community Engagement Event

Welcome to Pride in Construction 2026!

From its humble beginnings as a passionate call to action in 2021, Pride in Construction spearheaded a movement to eradicate verbal and psychological abuse endured by members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community on construction sites. Through tireless advocacy, construction site visits, and global media attention, the group flipped the narrative to celebrate individuals, not just their skills.

Now, after two successful years we want to continue that work and invite you to be a part of the Pride in Construction event at SAIT Polytechnic on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. There will be an opportunity to attend a keyote address in the morning, visit vendor booths in the afternoon and chat with organizations who are proud to support a diverse workforce. Additionally, positive partners will be in attendance to show their support.

Let’s come together and discover innovative strategies, hear inspiring stories, and join hands with industry leaders, advocates, and allies as we pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future in construction.
