Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence for Health Professionals

This 4-hour training session is designed to increase individual and institutional capacity to support people who have experienced sexual violence. Participants learn how to respond to disclosures of sexual assault and sexual harassment, and develop a better understanding of the issue of sexual violence. Topics include: an affirmative standard of consent in Canada, legal definitions of sexual violence, how to provide trauma-informed care, core facts related to sexual violence, and responding to disclosures of sexual violence.
