DeWard Weils and Viivii Ford form an unexpected connection that challenges power, perception, and desire. With live rap, R&B, spoken word, and comedy woven into the story, the play asks one question:
Can love exist beyond the transaction?
This play explores themes of class, race, ambition, and authenticity highlighting the resilience and dignity of a black woman carving her own path. Conflict rises when societal judgement and personal insecurities threaten their budding romance climaxing to a dramatic confrontation and a heartfelt plea for love beyond transactional terms.
The narrative is punctuated by live performances from local Atlanta artist creating a vibrant soundtrack that mirrors the city’s pulse.
