Join us for a refreshing, hands-on workshop where participants will learn to craft safe, delicious, wellness-focused mocktails using fresh ingredients and aromatic herbs. In this interactive food safety class, you’ll create vibrant non-alcoholic drinks that are as nourishing as they are beautiful—perfect for gatherings, everyday hydration, or simply treating yourself to something special.
Participants will experiment with fresh fruits, garden herbs, and natural flavor combinations to create beverages that support wellbeing while celebrating creativity in the kitchen. Along the way, we’ll explore how simple ingredients can be transformed into drinks that feel both indulgent and restorative.
This workshop is led by a passionate gardener, farmer, and cooking instructor with more than a decade of experience teaching cooking classes throughout Detroit. Much of this work centers on helping families reconnect with their food—especially through teaching students about nutrition, sustainable growing practices, and cooking from scratch.
In this workshop, students learn not just how to cook, but why fresh ingredients matter, often using produce grown in their own gardens. Enjoy the spirit of practical, joyful learning in this mocktail workshop.
In this class, you’ll learn how to:
• Combine herbs, fruits, and natural ingredients to build complex flavors
• Create refreshing, alcohol-free drinks for gatherings and everyday life
• Explore simple techniques that make healthy drinks feel special
• Use fresh ingredients from gardens or markets in creative ways while practicing food safety skills
Whether you're looking for a healthier alternative to sugary drinks or simply want to add something new to your kitchen skills, this workshop will leave you with recipes, inspiration, and a few new favorite drinks to share with friends and family.
Come mix, taste, and connect—because sometimes the best conversations start with a really good drink. 🍓🌿🥂
