About this Event
Join Little Forks Conservancy on June 25th from 9:30am-12pm, to help remove harmful invasive species from the ecosystem at the 270-acre Lane Preserve in Gladwin!
What we’ll be doing:
Volunteers will manually remove invasive shrubs like autumn olive that can be harmful to our native wildlife. Using tools like loppers and handsaws, volunteers will remove vegetation while LFC staff and partners will apply treatment to prevent further growth.
Those under 15 must have a parent present or a chaperone. This event is recommended for ages 10 and up.
What to bring:
Gloves, water, safety glasses, and loppers and/or handsaws. We will be working outside, so please dress accordingly for the event and weather. Closed toed shoes are required and long pants are recommended. Little Forks Conservancy will provide tools, gloves and safety glasses to those who need them.
