Intended for audiences aged 3-5 and their caregivers, Preschool StoryTime is an interactive, communal activity every Monday morning. Our Storyteller reads one or several stories centered around a theme. Sometimes, songs and dance are included. Sometimes, crafts and activities are included. Sometimes, puppets are included. Each week is a little different!Because StoryTime is often a child’s first live performance experience, attending StoryTime requires some help from parents to maintain positive behavior of the audience. The best audiences enable the Storyteller to give the best presentation possible!
Parents and caregivers are asked to follow these guidelines:
-- Use your listening ears, follow directions, and be mindful of others trying to enjoy StoryTime too.
-- Families sit and participate together; grown-ups sing and dance with us, too! Adults model good audience behavior for the children by being attentive and participating.
-- Please remember to turn your imagination on, and your cell phones off.
-- Have FUN! You don't have to stick around for all of StoryTime if you're not feeling it. You can always take a break and come back later.
ACCESSIBILITY: The Library makes every effort to ensure programs can be enjoyed by everyone. If you have any concerns about accessibility or need to request a specific accommodation, please contact the Library Staff at 319-342-3025 or [email protected].
