About this Event
Atlanta’s Film Community | First Session of the Year
Preproduction Social: Storyboarding the Year marks the first gathering of the year for Atlanta’s film and creative community — a space where both new and returning creators come together to set the tone for what’s ahead.
A new year in film deserves more than resolutions — it deserves intention, alignment, and community.
This session is designed to help filmmakers, actors, writers, producers, and crew reconnect with purpose, clarify what they’re building, and align with collaborators who can help bring those projects to life.
Whether you’re stepping into the BKCC / Preproduction Social community for the first time or returning to continue building with us, this experience is about grounding your creative direction, strengthening your network, and entering the year with momentum.
Using a light, cinematic vision-setting framework, we’ll guide participants through a creative way of mapping the year — thinking in themes, projects, and partnerships rather than just goals. This isn’t about rigid planning or pitching — it’s about clarity, connection, and collective energy.
Expect a relaxed but intentional environment where:
- New faces feel welcomed into the community
- Returning members deepen relationships and collaborations
- Projects find their people
- Conversations move beyond “what do you do?” to “what are you building?”
This is your invitation to start the year in the right room — with creators who are serious about their craft, supportive of each other’s growth, and committed to building Atlanta as a thriving film city.
Come to meet your next collaborator.
Come to refine your creative direction.
Come to start the year with purpose.
