LEARN HOW TO PREPARE CACAO AT HOME
Join us for a beautiful evening preparing ceremonial Cacao together and creating a sacred container to learn how to make your own cup of ceremonial Cacao.
It is so special to start our mornings or end the day with a cup of ceremonial Cacao, and we are excited to gather this Valentine's day season with you to prepare this sacred beverage in community so you can then prepare it at home. Ceremonial Cacao helps us connect deeper with ourselves by relaxing our muscles, joints, and our nervous system. Ceremonial Cacao also supports us in opening our hearts and connecting with our environment and the natural world. It helps ground us within our bodies and connect to those around us, making it the perfect drink for the Season of Love.
This sacred plant has been used as a ceremonial beverage in indigenous communities throughout MesoAmerica for centuries as a vehicle to unify the world of spirit with this physical reality.
Cacao guides us to celebrate gratitude, explore the vast ocean of emotions, and actively trust. It’s a beautiful plant to connect with ourselves and in the community. It is a powerful facilitator to activate our creativity and connect deeper with our heartspace.
PRACTICIONERS
Florencia Fridman is a self-empowerment artist working globally with heart opening therapies involving Ceremonial Grade Cacao, yoga, sound journeys, and breath as instruments for transformation. Florencia is passionate about supporting the voices of indigenous nations, wisdom keepers, and guardians of the sacred lands. She works with the Mayan tradition from Guatemala and the Sapara Nation of Ecuador. She has been working with rebirthing (a breathing modality) since the age of 8 with the guidance of her mother and Leonard Orr. She shares her passion for Theobroma Cacao through education and ceremony globally. Florencia has opened for Deepak Chopra, has facilitated ceremonies for the corporate world at Spotify, and has been a guest to teach at NYU.
She is the co-Founder of Cacao Laboratory, a Ceremonial Cacao brand aiming to bring awareness of a regenerative world through the voice of Cacao. She is also the founder of Florecer Community, bridging modern and ancient wisdom to create a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.
Carin Cohen is a NYC based art educator with a background in graphic design. She has taught studio and digital art to children and adults of all ages with a focus on progressive education. Her other teaching experiences include leading mindfulness to elementary school students and working as a facilitator of a girls empowerment program fusing dance, fitness and discussion. She has completed several meditation and mindfulness trainings, which have allowed her to deepen her own personal practice and understanding of meditation as well as explore different approaches to guide others through the process. Carin has completed a 100 hour certification in mindfulness and loving kindness practice with the Nalanda Institute, a 16 hour immersion in sound healing and most recently a 50 hour program in creating sacred space. Carin is also passionate about creating and sharing chocolate which led to the launch of her company Chocolate for Change in 2003. When not teaching, Carin loves to spend time in nature or hear live music and frequently has a camera in hand to capture the world around her.
