Do you work with pregnant patients? Do you see patients who have had poor birth experiences, physically or emotionally? Do you want to support your patients to achieve the best birth outcomes for them? Then this course is for you.
This in depth course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to assist you in safely and competently working with pregnant patients as they prepare for birth. It will cover topics including physiology and biomechanics of birth, active birth and pain neuroscience.
You will develop confidence to assess and treat your pregnant patient, including pelvic balancing techniques, myofascial release techniques to treat the uterus and its related ligament and fascial connections, treat pelvic floor dysfunction, create space for the birthing patient and help prepare them for birth.
The course emphasizes the importance of considering the biopsychosocial aspects to birth so that our patients have a positive birth experience both physically and emotionally,.
This course will include external assessment and techniques only.
