About this Event
Join the Travel & Tourism Marketing Association (TTMA) for an industry conversation exploring how Los Angeles prepares for major events, with a focus on transportation, infrastructure, and the systems that support the movement of millions of residents and visitors.
This program will feature Paul Krekorian, Executive Director of the Office of Major Events, who will share insights into how the City of Los Angeles plans, coordinates, and delivers complex, citywide events—from global sporting events to cultural milestones—while ensuring operational readiness across agencies, transportation networks, and neighborhoods.
The discussion will also include Jennifer Vides, Chief Customer Experience Officer at LA Metro, who will provide perspective on Metro’s role in strengthening mobility, improving the rider experience, and supporting the infrastructure necessary to prepare Los Angeles for major events. Metro’s continued investment in Downtown Los Angeles, including its headquarters and newly acquired office building in the Arts District, reflects the agency’s long-term commitment to expanding connectivity and supporting the city’s growth.
As Los Angeles prepares for an unprecedented era of global events, neighborhoods across the city are evolving to meet increased demand. Areas like the Arts District—home to historic warehouses, creative spaces, and adaptive reuse properties—represent how nontraditional venues and emerging districts can play a meaningful role in supporting ancillary programming, events, and economic activity connected to large-scale moments. These shifts highlight the broader opportunity for transportation, infrastructure, and place-based investment to work together in strengthening Los Angeles’ readiness and global competitiveness.
We are honored to host this event at Art Share LA, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to supporting emerging and underrepresented artists through affordable studios, exhibitions, and performances. Located in the heart of the Arts District, Art Share LA represents the neighborhood’s evolution from an industrial warehouse zone into one of Los Angeles’ most dynamic cultural and creative hubs.
