Preparing for an Education-Focused Career in the Social Sciences

Over the past decade, universities have increasingly formalised role specifications and promotion pathways for education-focused academics. As a result, education-focused roles have expanded across the Social Sciences and now represent a significant academic career pathway for postgraduate researchers (PGRs).

This one-day workshop will introduce PGRs to education-focused academic careers in the Social Sciences, support them in considering whether this pathway aligns with their aspirations, and prepare them for the expectations, opportunities, and realities associated with such roles.

The workshop is facilitated by Lisa Anderson, an Emeritus Professor of Management Learning at the University of Liverpool and an independent coach and consultant.
