About this Event
Uhuru Foods & Pies is selling delicious Urban Comfort Food at the African Arts Festival to support the Black Power Blueprint. This is an all-volunteer effort to bring economic development and self-determination to North St. Louis. Uhuru Foods & Pies is promoting the August 15th opening of the Uhuru Bakery & Cafe on W. Florissant, saluting Marcus Garvey's 139th Birthday and the work of Omali Yeshitela to build the worldwide movement for African people to own, control and develop African recources for African people everywhere!
Volunteer shifts for 4 or more hours. Every person who volunteers for a 4 hour shift receives a meal, acknowledgement of your volunteer hours and a great experience workign with like-minded people!
No experience needed, but always welcome ;-)
